The English program at the University of Rio Grande/Rio Grande Community College announces a fulltime nontenuretrack position in English Composition at the instructor rank. The position is available August 2025 for academic year. The position requires a completed Masters Degree in English though a Ph.D. in English or Composition & Rhetoric is preferable. We are looking for a motivated candidate with experience in developmental education and a positive studentcentered teaching approach. The successful candidate will teach developmental writing firstyear and secondyear Composition courses and will collaborate with English faculty in course/program assessment and training for parttime writing instructors. For this position the instructor will teach 30 credits per academic year in the generaleducation Composition sequence.
