JOB DESCRIPTION
The role of an IMCU Nurse is crucial in ensuring the smooth functioning of the intensive medical care unit. They oversee and direct nursing care by conducting thorough assessments administering therapies and managing highintensity interventions. IMCU nurses are often responsible for treating patients with complex conditions such as diabetes mellitus electrolyte imbalances renal failure liver failure gastrointestinal bleeds blood disorders cancer sepsis respiratory distress or multisystem organ failure. To excel in their role they must possess quick thinking abilities follow instructions diligently and fully leverage their training possible.
