Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Facilities Manager. This role is individually accountable for managing a team that plans coordinates and controls all technical and facilities management activities on behalf of OMP. The incumbent is individually accountable for achieving results through the efforts of others over periods of up to a year.

DUTIES

  • Building Maintenance Systems and Contract Management
  • Ensure that all Planned Maintenance is executed in line with the Planned Maintenance schedule and all operating systems updated
  • Ensure all Service Providers are managed in terms of their contract
  • Execute all CAPEX Projects in the year that they are budgeted.
  • Annual Risk Inspection to be conducted and identified risk items actioned.
  • Ensure the properties comply with all OHSACT requirements and regulations.
  • Control guide monitor analyse and track all electricity consumption and implement savings initiatives.
  • Control guide monitor analyse and track all water consumption and implement savings initiatives.
  • Control guide monitor analyse and track all waste consumption and implement savings initiatives.
  • Internal and External Customer / Client. 24hr turnaround response time to queries or requests.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years experience in Facilities/Operations Management.
  • Minimum qualification Engineering degree/diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering or registered mechanical or electrical artisan or other relevant technical qualification with atleast 10 years practical experience in an engineering and/or built environment.
  • Quality/standards awareness and implementation basic contract management coordination skills business writing skills financial/numeracy skills computer literacyMS Office (Word Excel and Outlook) drivers license people management/leadership skills.
  • Advanced Technical knowledge knowledge of Company policies and procedures administration principles and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of relevant statutory requirements including OHSA requirements
  • Budget control Team effectiveness Technical Service Management Vendor & Contract Management.
