Eurasia Groups Energy Climate & Resourcesteam provides analytical expertise and strategic insight to our clients on the geopolitical policy regulatory and country risk dimensions of global energy markets commodity trends natural resources and climate change.
We are seeking an experienced professional with at least three years of business development and client relations experience to join our ECR team working with multinational corporations and institutional investors where geopolitics country risk and energy/commodity markets intersect. This role will be based in New York City or Washington DC and will be specifically focused on managing and growing our North American ECR client base by delivering first class service and solutions to our clients in the oil/gas electric power renewable energy metals/mining chemicals and agriculture space.

Responsibilities:
Work with ECR leadership team to manage a portfolio of approximately 25 corporate accounts based across the US and Canada.
Create and build indepth strategic account plans and provide support to senior leadership in business and strategy planning (including new business pipeline) and major new pitches
Support ECR Managing Directors in driving new revenue growth from new prospects as well as existing clients working closely management and analysts to scope out client deliverables that reflect Eurasia Groups unique analytical value add.
Work closely and effectively with ECR analyst team and regional research practices as a valueadded partner serving as a key team member critical to ensuring high impact research advisory services and project work.
Develop a strong understanding of Eurasia Groups business and become an expert in how political risks fit into global ECR sector anticipating how Eurasia Groups insights on key trends and developments can best serve client needs.
Maintain knowledge of market developments (on a multiregion/multicommodity basis) asset classes and political risks in order to engage with and provide value to clients.
Desired Skills:
Prior experience in global energy/natural resources markets in a client facing role with experience and knowledge of key geopolitical policy and environmental/sustainability trends.
Prior experience in a sales or client management role with proven ability to monetize a differentiated research & advisory offering.
Background in oil/gas clean tech metal/mining electric power preferred.
Prior experience with account mapping strategic planning and prospecting / pitching.
Demonstrable interest in Eurasia Groups core political risk assessment competency
Must be a selfstarter with a strong teamfocused mindset committed to individual and shared successes.
In a fastpaced and rapidlychanging environment must have strong problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically about how to best use Eurasia Group resources to meet frequent and wideranging demands in a timely manner.
Willingness and capacity for travel on an ongoing basis.
Bachelors degree required Masters or MBA preferred.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
