Description
The School Psychologists Paraprofessional is responsible to supporting the school psychologists of TriCounty by retrieving student records doing clerical duties entering assessment data into scoring system and making some onsite visits. This individual should have considerable skill in prioritizing meeting deadlines confidentiality and being reliable. They will be able to demonstrate effective communication skills basic computer skills and strong organizational skills. A basic understanding of the requirements of special education and timelines is required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Track down student records for new/movein students
- Examine student files for School Psychologist; disperse as requested
- Be able to mail scan email fax file and print documents
- Utilize Webkidss to Complete Consents for Evaluation and other forms
- Transfer assessment protocol information into scoring system and share report with school psychologist
- Contact other agencies to determine educational advocates (Families Together KVC)
- Support school psychologist in scheduling
- Communicate regularly with school psychologists
- Complete time sensitive items as a priority by deadline
- Perform other duties as assigned which may include working in a classroom setting with students with disabilities.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
- Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
- Requires physical exertion to manually move lift carry pull or push heavy objects or materials.
- Occasional stooping bending and reaching.
- Must be able to work in a variety of noisy and crowded environments.
- Must be able to demonstrate effective organizational skills and work with a deadline.
- Maintain a valid drivers license and be able to operate a vehicle.

- See that Interlocal policies are observed during all activities.
- Obtain advance approval for inservice training as required.
- Adhere to all district and Interlocal health and safety policies including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education.

- Health and inoculation certificate on file at the Central Office.
