The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the nontenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neuroradiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be certified by the American Board of Radiology and be neuroradiology CAQeligible. Completion of a twoyear neuroradiology fellowship is strongly recommended.
Teaching responsibilities may include daily clinical supervision teaching residents and fellows during readouts and conferences and participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical subspecialties. Teaching of medical students will be limited to those rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Penn Presbyterian Medical Center Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Pennsylvania Hospital.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing outstanding clinical service to all referring clinicians and expert clinical consultation to our partners in the departments of Emergency Medicine Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery Neurology Neurosurgery Psychiatry and Ophthalmology. The successful candidate will also participate in the Neuroradiology offhours on call program including evening night and weekend coverage.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing a focused body of research in a field within Neuroradiology. The successful candidate will have prior research experience including evidence of training in research methodology and have demonstrated evidence of peer reviewed scholarship. Ample support and mentorship for research will be provided.
Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Penn Presbyterian Medical Center Pennsylvania Hospital Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center and affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
