Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Support railcar maintenance and qualification process for fleet of 4000 railcars.This includes ensuring cars meet their regulatory qualification needs during the year or before their year of expiration while also minimizing impact to the fleets.This includes the backfill planning needs for all cars that are pulled from regular service for their maintenance needs.
  • Support fleet analytics to ensure fleets are optimized and balanced across their statuses by tracking and intervening when fleets are over or under utilized.This would include maintaining and developing dashboards to support fleet decisions.
  • Manage intransit maintenance issues such as bad orders and onetime movement authorizations for cars that are damaged in transit.This includes working with operations fleet maintenance teams and contractors to ensure necessary paperwork is completed in a timely manner.This includes the management and coordination of 3rd party mobile repair units.
  • Support and develop analytics to monitor yard capacity and utilization for major sites to ensure plants remain fluid while simultaneously maintain safety stock and production needs.
  • Support and develop metrics in support of mini shop and major shop maintenance plans to ensure Eastman is using the right providers who will provide the necessary services at competitive rates and acceptable workmanship.
  • Provide backup planning for vacation relief of key individuals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required.
