Assistant Manager / 2IC (Dog Daycare)

At Kip Newstead the Assistant Manager is a critical component of the leadership team playing a key role in driving success and growth of the business. In partnership with the Site Manager the Assistant Manager is responsible for providing support on all operational matters.
The ideal candidate will be available to work 38 hours between 6.30am6.30pm Monday through Friday. The roster can be discussed in further detail with shortlisted candidates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting with managing staff pets bookings maintenance administration and more.
- Provide exceptional customer service through customer interactions handling enquiries and managing bookings.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for pets ensuring that each pets individual needs are met.
- Lead motivate and coach a highperforming team through teamwork clear expectations and consistent delivery of outstanding service.
- Maintain sitebased social media pages showcasing our facility engaging with customers and attracting new bookings.
- Assist with staff training and guidance identifying areas for improvement.
- Identify and raise any maintenance repair or inventory requirements.
- Address and investigate animal health concerns and maintain a working knowledge of common health issues to appropriately address pet health needs.
Experience / Requirements:
- Previous paid animal care experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and proven experience providing exceptional customer service.
- Passion for problem solving and high attention to detail.
- Time management skills a cando attitude and initiative to exceed outcomes and expectations at high quality.
- Quick learner and a willingness to get your hands dirty with onthejob experience.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and maintain a cool head under pressure.
- Competent with computer systems with intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel and Outlook).
