Job Description:
STC is potentially seeking a highly motivated SSA Domain Technical engineer to work in coordination with the NOAA Office of Space Commerce (OSC) to ensure the highest technical quality in SSA products and services in the development of the upcoming Traffic Coordination System for Space (TraCSS).
Specific duties will include but are not limited to:
- Validate new SSA products and services technical quality prior to transition into TraCSS operations.
- Support 3rdparty SSA data products and services acquisitions.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the TraCSS System Integration (SI) vendor to onboard 3rdparty SSA data products and services ensuring technical quality standards are met.
- Support OSC operations personnel as required.
Requirements
Up to 5 years of experience in the space situational awareness (SSA) domain and/or satellite operations. Knowledge of conjunction assessment (CA) methodologies satellite orbit determination and SSA products and services. Experience in transitioning research data/products into operational environments. Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical staff government and commercial organizations.
Education:
Bachelors Degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering Flight Dynamics Physical Sciences Space Applications or related field.
