R&D Kaseya Labs Technician
LOCATION: Slough UK
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The R&D Kaseya Labs Technician will possess data center knowledge and is responsible for the operational integrity and process and security compliance of the data center infrastructure.
The R&D Kaseya Labs Technician maintains and follows the processes that will maximize uptime of Kaseyas R&D Lab Environment. They are responsible for carrying out operational support for all lab technology projects as well as maintaining daily operational requirements.

JOB SUMMARY
- Conduct daily inspections of all Kaseya Labs related Data Center infrastructure equipment.
- Operates and installs computing equipment related to infrastructure and applications including servers storage and application infrastructure.
- Oversee the IT lab environment ensuring it is properly equipped and configured for testing and development purposes.
- Implement IT policies procedures and best practices to ensure system security reliability and efficiency.
- Take part in the planning efforts of strategic departmentwide initiatives inclusive of technology selection effort timeline cost resource allocation system engineering solution delivery and implementation.
- Oversee 2nd and 3rd level Infrastructure operations support for the department 14x5 with oncall support during offhours for initial response to disruptions outages and incidents.
- Oversees inventory/audits and decommission of hardware.
- Lifting equipment required up to and over 50lbs. Use manual and electric server lift where applicable.
- Assist with the implementation and evangelization of security best practices and takes part in security incident response if necessary.
- Assists with shipping receiving and distribution of equipment and hardware.
About You:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to distribute messages clearly and concisely connecting with employees and customers.
- Working knowledge of computer hardware configuration troubleshooting and repair.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills ability to prioritize requirements for value that align with customer expectations and product vision.
- Passionate / energetic leader with complete ownership of the Lab and Infrastructure while inspiring others to share and contribute to the product vision and goals.
- 23 years of experience as a data center technician or similar.
- Bachelors degree related to Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Ubuntu/Debian Linux
- Experience with Dell systems including iDrac and Dell TechDirect Portal
- Experience with Cisco Nexus switches
- CompTIA Linux Network or equivalent
