Job Responsibilities
- Perform multipoint inspections
- Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
- Check tire pressure and inspect fluid levels
- Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
- Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs
- Adhere to all company policies procedures safety standards and codes of conduct
- Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation clean and lubricate fittings as needed
- Drain oil from crankcase and install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter
- Use power tools machine tools and common hand tools to perform various tasks
Qualifications
- Must meet dealerships requirements for employment
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and information
- Familiarity with general aspects of automotive repair/maintenance
- Must have a valid Texas drivers license
- Prior experience as a technicians helper or apprentice preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Occasional exposure to inclement weather
- Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Requires a significant amount of walking and/or standing.
- This position may also require working at a production pace while pushing and/or pulling materials from place to place.
