3 Key Consulting is hiring a Country Sourcing Senior Associate for a consulting engagement with our direct client a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
Job Description: Our client is searching for a Sourcing Senior Associate to join the Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) Commercial Sourcing team and to support a portfolio of critical PO and supporting sourcing processes across a variety of categories. The Senior Associate will report to the US Senior Manager and will work out of the clients Capability Center located in Tampa Florida.
PO and change order intake/triage/review/approval: the sourcing senior associate will be accountable for the review researching and approval of all Global Commercial POs generated that meet Global Strategic Sourcing (GSS) threshold approval. This team member will play a key role in ensuring compliance and speedy approval of a dynamic highvolume portfolio including reviewing PO to ensure that it is correctly structured and triaging and soliciting all required inputs from business partners and/or category managers required for the PO or change order to advance. The senior associate will regularly report on open/approved POs escalate POs not approved within specific time limits and will timely draft and facilitate communications related to high value POs as needed including informing impacted stakeholders of next steps and conclusion.
Sourcing process and documentation support and advisory: The sourcing senior associate will be a key advisor and support arm to the GSS category manager team. The senior associate is expected to proactively assess and manage the sourcing situation at hand and to engage stakeholders accordingly to ensure GSS and business input or reviews are timely and aligned to sourcing SOPs. Support and advisory scenarios will include but not be limited to: reviewing/editing scopes of work or amendments developing and facilitating sourcing process documentation for GSS and business approvals (including soliciting approvals of sourcing approach and/or contract) and executing related sourcing and contract platform tasks. In these situations the sourcing associate will be expected to act as an advisor (to the category manager to the supplier and/or to the business partner) to ensure stakeholders have an aligned understanding of the applicable sourcing scenario and therefore the information or review required to fulfill approval requirements. The sourcing associate will be accountable for managing stakeholder communications and for resolving these processes to conclusion including managing escalation where needed.
Contract workspace maintenance and related tasks:
Close out quarterly Ariba remediations sent by GSS Ops; working with category managers as needed
Monitor the status of the contract workspaces from Draft to Published and support the process to get the contract workspace fully published
Provide ad hoc support to category managers aligned with request from GSS operations
What success looks like: the senior associate jumps into the role with a selfled approach to learning and building baseline knowledge critical for success. While moving on the learning curve the senior associate is proactively reaching out to get questions answered or data needed and they are demonstrating progress along learning curve by consistently defining what they know and what they dont know. Once the senior associate is stable in the role they are proactively prioritizing and managing the portfolio including ensuring stakeholders are getting questions answered or updates needed as prioritization occurs or status changes. Success is clear because business partners and category managers arent raising inquiries or status checks or expressing concern that they dont know what the next step or action is. As the senior associate progresses further category managers share unsolicited positive feedback regarding the senior associates support the senior associate was proactive and responsive giving the category manager the right advice or support required for the situation.

Basic Qualifications: The ideal candidate has had some buying experience possesses working knowledge of the Ariba platform proactively communicates and manages expectations while problemsolving and prioritizing intake and demand from multiple sources and has 24 years of postundergrad experience.
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate should be a fast learner who can develop deep understanding of SOPs. The ideal candidate will possess critical and analytical skills needed to interpret SOPs for a particular project/situation and they will possess an ability to convert SOP interpretation into actionable recommendations (that they communicate to business partners category managers etc). The ideal candidate will also be highly collaborative in getting inputs and advice from GSS Ops SourcetoPay MyBuy Law teams.
