Heres how aRisk Analystfor our Edmonton NAHQoffice contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Manages PCLs Risk Management Information System (RMIS) including data accuracy user profile set up working with thirdparties to implement system changes develop strategies to improve and leverage the system.
  • Trains new users in PCLs RMIS.
  • Opens and maintains claims in PCL RMIS by tracking adjusting and managing claim financials and journal notes.
  • Recommends RMIS process and system changes based on PCL practices.
  • Coordinates and participates in claim review calls including Workers Compensation reviews and Professional Liability reviews quarterly.
  • Leads the handling of claims under $100000 including the reserving and escalates appropriately.
  • Schedules runs and creates claim reports for all PCL departments and external clients within PCLs RMIS system and IBM Cognos software.
  • Runs reports and creates dashboards as needed. Completes analysis to help identify trends risks and opportunities.
  • Reviews thirdparty administrator (TPA) invoices for accuracy records internal payments codes invoices and forwards for payment.
  • Explores new software solutions that may provide cost benefits for PCL.
  • Develops and maintains strong customerfocused relationships with all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in business management information systems information technology computer engineering operations management or related discipline.
  • Understanding of workflows
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to think logically analytically and constructively express ideas and concepts.
  • Organizational skills and high level of detail orientation with the ability to prioritize own work to meet deadlines and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to escalate issues as required.
  • Ability to act with the required discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to use comprehensive information systems databases and data mining techniques.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
