Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented Expeditor to join our Supply Chain Management team. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely receipt of materials which directly impacts our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of ordered goods and their expected shipping dates.
- Confirm shipping schedules with vendors and actively monitor shipping notices to ensure timely deliveries.
- Expedite materials to align with manufacturing requirements minimizing production delays.
- Coordinate closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise in the supply chain process.
- Work closely with the stores department to ensure the smooth receipt and processing of goods (GRN process).
- Travel as needed to expedite materials and ensure they meet the required timelines.
- Maintain open lines of communication with vendors suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Report on the status of materials and provide updates to relevant departments.
Qualifications/skillset required:
- Any graduate or diploma holder.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry with a focus on supply chain or logistics roles.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
