Summary

Southwest General Health Center is a 352bed community hospital located in Middleburg Heights Ohio. One of the last standing community hospitals in Northeast Ohio we partner with University Hospitals and other local community organizations to provide a full range of services to all who need us. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Litigation Analyst provides risk leadership expertise and service to support the management of the overall operation tactics and strategy of clinical risk management and patient safety. This position has the responsibility to coordinate the review of reported risk events. Assists in ongoing analysis development and implementation of methods and systems to improve overall safety efficiency and effectiveness of clinical risk and patient safety management services and functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associates degree in a related field required. Bachelors degree in healthrelated field preferred.

Required length of experience: Minimum of three 3 years of experience in an acute care setting required. Minimum of one year experience in patient safety risk management quality improvement. Strong written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy. Presentation and research skills. Ability to influence change without direct authority.

Certification in one of the following preferred:

  • Certified Professional Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM)
  • Certified Professional Patient Safety (CPPS)
  • Certified Professional Health Care Quality (CPHQ)
