GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Founded in 2012 Ariadne Labs is a joint center for health systems innovation at Brigham & Womens Hospital and the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health led by Dr. Atul Gawande M.D. M.P.H Executive Director. Our mission is research and discovery that drive scalable solutions for better care at the most critical moments in peoples lives everywhere. Our work is already achieving massive impact globally and as a result we are growing rapidly.
Working in cooperation with the Senior Program Manager subject matter and training experts and the Serious Illness Care Program team the project manager will lead them team in developing and documenting a strategy for the teams education branch and manage the resulting projects ensuring they are successfully delivered in terms of scope schedule and resources.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager will:
Lead the process of developing a documented strategy for education within Ariadne Labs Serious Illness Care Program by partnering with subject matter and training experts
Manage projects so that they are successfully delivered in terms of scope schedule and resources;
Plan and deliver a successful continuing medical education (CME) course for Serious Illness Care utilizing appropriate elements of agreed strategy;
Provide project management guidance and leadership to specific research teams across the Ariadne Labs portfolio of activities to strengthen the intervention;
Provide clear concise written or oral reports for internal or external audiences;
Some travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required
4 years project management experience required preferably in healthcare setting e.g. hospital healthcare system etc.
Experience supervising staff
Demonstrated success in building consensus among a team
SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Experience managing research and/or quality improvement projects preferred.
Excellent team work skills preferably in a matrix organization.
Ability to work independently prioritizing issues and recognizing when they need to be escalated.
Ability to effectively present ideas and information in a variety of formats to a wide range of audiences.
Strong communication skills.
Experience with coordinating education course development and/or will be highly valuable especially experience with continuing medical education courses (CME).
Familiarity with issues related to palliative care end of life care and/or serious illness care preferred.
Familiarity with Google Drive (e.g. Google docs Google Sheets etc. preferred.

Works within legal regulatory accreditation and ethical practice standards relevant to the position and as established by BWH/Partners; follows safe practices required for the position; complies with appropriate BWH and Partners policies and procedures; fulfills any training required by BWH and/or Partners as appropriate; brings potential matters of noncompliance to the attention of the supervisor or other appropriate hospital staff.
