ABOUT Barrow Island
Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. Its also home to Chevrons Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australias Gorgon Project for over 10 years.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting new permanent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor Plant & Workshop to join our dynamic team based on Barrow Island on FIFO roster of either 2:2 or 2:1 from Perth.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Oversee daily supervision of site workshop personnel including apprentices and subcontractors to ensure all tasks are performed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist in the training and learning regime of all Ertech employees and subcontractors.
- Identify areas of improvement and provide coaching and development strategies for staff.
- Ensure all workshop jobs and projects are completed within budget and in a timely manner.
- Initiate and lead investigations of equipment failures to determine root cause.
- Ensure optimal utilisation of plant and equipment to limit down time.
- Contribute to the planning and attend and actively participate in all preshift toolbox and safety meetings including crew and shift change over meetings as required.
- Supervise rostering of workshop personnel.
- Provide handover to Relief Supervisors when leaving site.
- Plan prioritise and execute unscheduled work resulting from breakdown or backlog as directed by the Plant and Project Managers.
- Ensure all work is completed as scheduled to Ertech quality and safety standards.
- Ensure that monitoring tools such as KPIs and other standard measures are utilised to improve maintenance processes.
- Supervision of parts ordering and procurement process.
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in similar role.
- Sound knowledge of plant and equipment best practice and operational performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyse and show initiative and meet deadlines.
- A strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
- Current drivers licence. (HR Desirable)
- Experience performing maintenance on surface mining and construction earth moving equipment.
- Ability to plan and schedule activities and resources.
- Lead implementation of system change and process.
- Advanced computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office suite OEM and workshop software programs.
