Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

Duties and Responsibilities
Registered Practical Nurses will be placed in a LongTerm Care Home hospital or in the community. The specific responsibilities and duties vary slightly between locations as well as from shift to shift. These expectations will be communicated during the sitespecific orientation. Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assess residents and/or patients to identify appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary health team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor assess address document and report symptoms and changes in residents and/or patients conditions.
- Provide wound care.
- Manage personal support workers and delegate tasks to the appropriate members.
- Ensure the health safety welfare and independence of residents and/or clients.
- Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety regulations set by the province as well as the policies and procedures of Superior Staff it and any partnered homes.
- Follow scope of practice as outlined by the CNO.

Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized RPN program (required).
- Registered as an RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses (required).
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience (required).
- LTC experience is considered an asset.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Proof of full COVID19 vaccination (preferred).
- Must have access to own transportation.
- A valid drivers license access to own vehicle and possessing own car insurance are considered an asset.
**ALL NECESSARY PPE WILL BE PROVIDED ON SITE**
Salary: $36.00/hr
Schedule
