1800GOTJUNK the #1 name in junk removal is looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer Mobile to join our growing team!
This position will direct and improve codefirst best practices you will provide high quality code and will perform code reviews and collaborate on largescale platform development and support day to day webbased business activities.
This role will be involved in every stage of the delivery lifecycle and will require collaboration with various team members.
HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT
Vancouverbased team members work inoffice every other week (TuesThurs). Core attendance is required from 9 AM 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Application Development:
Develop test and deploy fullstack solutions with a focus on mobile app development using React Native for the frontend and JavaScript Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL for the backend.
Implement modern responsive designs and user interfaces using React and JavaScript.
Build scalable and maintainable APIs to support both web and mobile platforms.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
Work closely with product managers designers and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning standups and retrospectives contributing to a collaborative and iterative development process.
Code Quality and Performance:
Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality performance and adherence to best practices.
Optimize application performance for scalability and user experience on mobile and web platforms.
Technical Exploration and Innovation:
Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in mobile app development and share insights with the team.
Experiment with new tools and frameworks to enhance development efficiency and product functionality.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Debug and troubleshoot issues in mobile and backend systems ensuring minimal downtime and a seamless user experience.
Provide ongoing maintenance and updates to existing applications.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Mathematics or equivalent
5 years of experience in fullstack development with a strong focus on modern JavaScript technologies.
Expertise with frontend technologies like React and Next.js.
Strong proficiency with React.js and Next.js for building scalable and performant frontend applications.
Solid understanding and handson experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL for communicating between frontend and backend systems.
Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI CircleCI etc. to automate the build test and deployment processes.
Indepth knowledge of performance monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog New Relic and similar platforms.
Strong understanding of version control systems specifically Git and Git workflows.
Experience with Docker and containerization for development and deployment.
Familiarity with cloud services like AWS.
Excellent problemsolving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical and nontechnical teams.
Proficiency in Agile methodologies and working in an Agile team environment.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary: $90000 to $110000 (based on experience education & internal parity)
