Location: San Jose Palo Alto
Base Salary Range: $162000 $297000 USD Equity
Who We Are:
This Software Engineering team is a part of the Infosec Org and focuses on executing large engineering efforts on the X tech stack that addresses gaps in our overall security capabilities. The team builds and owns core security services and libs that promote security by default in our platform. The team is also investing in building services to improve Xs detection capabilities by leveraging both internal and thirdparty intelligence. We also work directly with other product engineering teams on new features.

You have a vision for what secured infrastructure should look like and are comfortable with executing on that vision. Ideally you have many of the following:
Bachelors or advanced Degree in Computer Science or closely related field
10 years of software engineering experience with an expertise in software engineering standards (e.g. unit testing code reviews design documentation).
Solid experience working with distributed systems.
Proficiency with objectoriented design data structures and algorithms.
Good understanding of JVM based architecture.
Strong debugging troubleshooting and analytical skills
Strong and effective communication skills.
Basic understanding of Security fundamentals e.g. how TLS works.
What Youll Do:
As a Software Engineering Lead in Information Security you will
build distributed systems and framework libraries to provide security defaults along with tools to detect security threats in our products and APIs.
work closely with InfoSec leadership and other stakeholders to address imminent threats as well as to lead strategic projects.
understand potential gaps in Xs security posture create a sustainable roadmap to address various security challenges and set the priorities for the work in the roadmap
