Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant Anaesthetists to join our team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective anaesthetic care to patients in rural and remote areas of Western Australia. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of our communities.

Position: Consultant Anaesthetists

Location: Western Australia

Role Highlights:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical service governance and leadership in Anaesthetics to promote quality health outcomes for patients of WA Country Health Service.
  • Ensure the provision of comprehensive anaesthetic service and airway management to patients.
  • Provision of anaesthetic services for patients having surgical medical obstetric or investigational procedures including continuous monitoring during such procedures.
  • Preoperative assessment and early postoperative care of patients.
  • Supervision of anaesthesia trainees and other staff as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • AHPRA registration.
  • Fellowship of the Australasian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetics or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in anaesthesia in general obstetrics paediatric and emergency anaesthesia.
  • Lnowledge and understanding of the rural anaesthesia setting
  • Ability to work as an effective team member.
  • Highly developed communication interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the Aboriginal Cultural Respect Framework
