Key responsibilities will include:
Assist with or provide quality childcare as well as plan and carry out developmentally and age appropriate educational activities to engage children aged 15 years in learning;
Help or assist ECEs to help children complete daily tasks and routines to gain independence and provide constant feedback and communication to build selfesteem;
Function as a member of our cohesive positive flexible and exuberant team which includes staff management parents and community members.
Successful candidates will have:
Early Childhood Educators:
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certification and licence to practice;
Doctors medical clearance letter;
Up to date immunization record;
First Aid Certificate;
Vulnerable Sector Check Criminal Record Check.
ECE Assistants:
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant Certification and licence to practice;
Doctors medical clearance letter;
Up to date immunization record;
First Aid Certificate;
Vulnerable Sector Check Criminal Record Check.
Responsible Adults:
At least 19 years of age;
Able to provide care and mature guidance to children;
Have completed a course or a combination of courses of at least 20 hours duration in child development guidance health and safety or nutrition or willing to take this training;
Have relevant work experience;
Vulnerable Sector Check Criminal Record Check.
Preference will be given to candidates who also have:
Previous experience working in a First Nation community.
Food Safe certification.
