Responsibilities
- Review plans new community and model decisions presentation plans website information etc.
- Verify and validate bids.
- Negotiate the most competitive pricing available for standards and options.
- Organize and analyze cost information/bids to support good decision making.
- Maintain an organized the department and keep an accurate cost database.
- Run budgets monthly to monitor accuracy.
- Research and identify new vendors to bid and/or provide new products and services.
- Work closely with the Construction Team to ensure that Trade and Material needs are being meet.
- Manage Bid / Take off files.
- Create reporting of bid comparisons.
- Data Entry into BRIX.
- Supports Purchasing Department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
- Experience in Homebuilding or Construction related Purchasing is preferred.
- Experience with purchasing software required Hyphen Solutions BRIX/BuildPro preferred.
- Must have knowledge of Excel Word and Outlook
Skills and Abilities
- Extremely well organizedable to multitask and prioritize
- Attention to detail and persistence in followup
- Strong sourcing and supply chain skills
- Strong numeric and estimating skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business or other related field; experience in lieu of degree may be accepted
- 4 years purchasing experience required
- Experience in home building
