Sales Support Manager

Position Summary
The Orange EV Sales Support Manager will lead and develop a highperforming team while building on current structures processes and best practices to elevate sales effectiveness and efficiency. This leadership role requires exceptional people management skills to guide the Sales Support Team foster structured communication drive sales support material development manage performance metrics facilitate team training ensure CRM engagement and coordinate internal sales support meetings. As a pivotal leadership position supporting a complex product and sales process this role demands proven team leadership experience coupled with strategic vision and operational excellence
**Role will be based fulltime in our Kansas City KS office (not a remote or hybrid role)
Position Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development (Primary Focus)
- Build lead and develop a highperforming sales support team through effective coaching mentoring and career development planning
- Create a collaborative team culture focused on excellence continuous improvement and exceptional service to both internal and external customers
- Implement performance management systems that recognize achievements address development areas and align team goals with organizational objectives
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and team sessions to provide guidance remove obstacles and ensure alignment
Process Excellence
- Partner with sales leadership to identify and implement strategies that maximize field sales effectiveness
- Centralize administrative functions at HQ to free field sales representatives to focus on customer engagement
- Lead process improvement initiatives using datadriven insights and team feedback
- Drive CRM adoption and optimize usage to support team performance
Communication & Content Leadership
- Oversee the development and refinement of sales support materials and processes
- Lead weekly sales team meetings with clear agendas actionable content and followup accountability
- Ensure exceptional customer communication throughout the entire sales and delivery lifecycle
- Establish reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights into sales support key metrics
Strategic Business Support
- Serve as a key liaison between field sales and headquarters functions
- Identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of sales metrics and team performance
- Lead special projects to address business challenges and capitalize on market opportunities
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure alignment and cohesive
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
We are seeking a peoplefirst leader with proven team development experience and qualifications that include:
- 5 years of sales operations and/or sales experience
- 3 years of demonstrated people leadership success with a track record of team development and performance improvement
- Experience in building team structures defining roles and implementing performance management systems
- Proven ability to coach and develop team members to achieve both individual and collective goals
- Minimum 4year undergraduate degree
- Excellent team motivation and development skills with the ability to inspire and drive performance
- Strong project management capabilities with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
- Demonstrated capacity to thrive in fastpaced environments while maintaining team focus and morale
- Strategic thinking balanced with tactical to manage multiple competing priorities
- Crossfunctional collaboration skills with a reputation as a trusted partner
- Track record of innovative thinking and continuous improvement
- Welldeveloped capabilities in problemsolving and implementing efficient processes

- Proficiency in business software (Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook)
Ideal Candidates Will Also Have
- Experience building or scaling a sales support function
- Background in leading teams through periods of high growth or change
- Experience with CRM tools ideally Salesforce
- Previous experience in coaching sales professionals or developing support tools
