About the Position
Pond is recruiting for a highly motivated individual to serve as a Structural Bridge Engineer in our Cobb County office (alternative locations: Peachtree Corners GA Midtown Atlanta GA or Jacksonville FL). In this role you will support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of transportation projects. This position has great growth potential and will further develop your skills and work with our experienced senior leadership to coordinate and direct production efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering
- 2 years of bridge design experience is preferred
- Experience with bridge inspections and maintenance is preferred
- Professional Engineer P.E. certification is a plus
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles practices and techniques.
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational project and time management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working knowledge of GDOT design criteria and standards.
- Working knowledge of AASHTO design criteria and standards including LFRD.
- Proficiency with bridge design software packages such as OpenBridge MicroStation Leap.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively convey information to technical and nontechnical individuals.
- Engage in and support internal Quality Control and Quality Assurance Program.
