The Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T) Disruptive Computing & Networking (DC&N) software capability is seeking an Experienced Data Software Engineer in El Segundo CA or Westlake Village CA.

The position will involve creating software for world class next generation disruptive systems and technologies. The selected candidate will work with the Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) product team focused on the concept requirements architecture design and development of a future system. You will collaborate with other worldclass scientists researchers and engineers innovating on a range of technologies including Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) Advanced Training & Simulation Production Analytics Autonomy ElectroOptical/Infrared Sensing Cybersecurity Disruptive Computing & Networks and HighFidelity Digital Twin & Virtualization and much more.

Our software products help solve Boeings most challenging problems across Commercial Airplanes Defense Space & Security and Global Services businesses. Projects can range from new cyber security solutions for the revolutionary 787 Dreamliner to innovative aircraft creating virtual avionics development test environments across several commercial defense satellite and space platforms satellite payload technologies and autonomy.

Position Responsibilities:
Analyze large data sets to identify trends patterns and insights that drive decisions.
Utilize Elasticsearch to design and implement efficient data indexing and retrieval strategies.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
Implement and maintain Elasticsearch clusters ensuring data availability reliability and consistency across distributed environments
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Conduct data quality assessments and ensure data integrity across various sources.
Create and maintain documentation for data processes methodologies and best practices.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data analytics and search technologies.

This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5 years of experience do you have with Big Data technologies (e.g. Hadoop MapReduce Hive Pig Spark
Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server Teradata Postgres MySQL and/or NoSQL technologies (ElasticSearch MarkLogic Mongo)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Shiny PowerBI)
Experience in Python and/or R

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
1 years of experience in SQL and experience with data manipulation and analysis.
Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance with Poly
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering computer science mathematics physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD Master3 years related work experience). In the USA ABET accreditation is the preferred although not required accreditation standard.

Travel:
Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10.
