Who were looking for:

The TFS Enterprise Platforms team is seeking a highly motivated person to fill an opening as a Lead Software Engineering to help our growing Enterprise platform needs.

The Lead Software Engineering is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all technologyrelated initiatives within the assigned Enterprise platforms and frameworks factory. This role entails developing and executing the factorys technology strategy to ensure alignment with overarching business objectives. The Lead Software Engineering must leverage their technical expertise to drive innovation and deliver impactful business outcomes. Additionally they should possess strong influencing skills to shape strategy and forge partnerships both internally and externally. Collaborates with Technology Domain Owners (TDOs) Enterprise Architecture Data Domain Owners (DDOs) and Business Domain Owners (BDOs).

What youll be doing

  • Develop and implement the domains technology strategy include transformational roadmaps

  • Participate actively in project planning and prioritization sessions to ensure initiatives align with business goals.

  • Own delivery excellence (high quality standards for code and applications ownership of functional & nonfunctional requirements)

  • Ensure development quality and testing to enable effective and efficient transition of solutions from development to production within the organizations existing cloud ecosystem.

  • Manage and enforce enterprise architecture standards

  • Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems

  • Staff mentor and grow technical talent (people management)

  • Provide regular reports to senior executives on the status of the factory including performance and incident management

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tools and integrate this knowledge to improve methodologies and solutions.

What you bring

  • Bachelors degree in computer science

  • Proven experience in software development with a solid technical foundation with relevant experience in Java Springboot NodeJS REST API Real time streaming architectures microservices architecture patterns

  • Demonstrated experience in developing scalable web applications and architectural standards

  • Experience leading mentoring and inspiring a team of software engineers providing guidance support and feedback to foster their professional growth and development.

  • Deep expertise as a software engineering frameworks leader with experience in designing and implementing modern 12 factor cloud native business technology solutions.

  • Practical knowledge of cloud platforms advanced software design patterns & architecture operations and software engineering.

  • Proven track record of delivering scalable cloud native solutions addressing cross cutting concerns like logging application testing and application security and instrumentation by utilizing programming languages like Java Python SQL and a variety of AWS tools and services.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to move seamlessly between conversing with engineers or frontline ops employees and leading presentations with nontechnical stakeholders.

  • A passion for staying on top of tech trends experimenting with and learning new technologies participating in internal & external technology communities mentoring other members of the engineering community and from time to time be asked to code or evaluate code.

Added bonus if you have

  • Masters Degree in Computer Science or a Masters Degree in Software Engineering

  • Experience with coding and software development (Python SQL Java JavaScript)

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services

  • Demonstrated experience with horizontal platforms or related services and technologies

  • Good experience architecting large scale mission criticalcloudnative applications forenterprises.

  • Experience with distributed database systems (Cassandra ElasticSearch)

  • Experience with deploying clustered web services

  • Experience working with eventdriven and microservice architecture.
