Job Title Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician (BMET) Imaging Specialist

Description The BMET Imaging Specialist is responsible for the installation maintenance calibration and repair of complex imaging equipment used in medical diagnostics and treatment. The role requires indepth knowledge of imaging technologies outstanding problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Perform preventative maintenance calibration and repair of imaging equipment including MRI CT Xray and ultrasound machines.Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with imaging equipment employing advanced technical skills.
Ensure all imaging equipment meets industry standards safety regulations and quality control measures.
Maintain accurate and detailed service records for all equipment.
Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on the operation and maintenance of imaging equipment.
Collaborate with manufacturers vendors and technical support teams for equipment updates recalls and technical guidance.
Assist in the evaluation selection and implementation of new imaging equipment.
Manage projects related to the installation upgrade and decommissioning of imaging equipment.
Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to imaging equipment maintenance and safety.
Ensure a clean and safe work environment adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Provide additional support to BMET Staff as needed.
Support inventory management and tracking of imaging equipment.
Assist in risk assessment and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
Support documentation and compliance efforts related to imaging equipment service history.
Travel Ability to travel up to 50 throughout State of Maine as required.
Work Schedule
MondayFridayor
On call support as needed.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelors degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology Electronics or a related field or DoD BMET School Graduate or Active AAMI ACI credentials.
A minimum of four years of experience in biomedical Imaging equipment maintenance and repair.
Expert knowledge of electronic mechanical and computer systems.
Strong analytical troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication customer service and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and lead a team.
Detailoriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and equipment management systems.
Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States without an employer sponsored visa.

Work environment conditions may occasionally include exposure to fumes or airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals vibration and risk of radiation.

Willingness and ability to travel 050 as required.
