Job Summary:
Under the leadership of the Head of Data Governance the Data Steward plays a crucial role in supporting the quality integrity and security of Zoetiss data. The Data Steward is responsible for the management and governance of data across the organization and/or a specific business domain. This individual plays a crucial role in implementing data governance initiatives and ensuring the data is accurate accessible and secure supporting business operations analytics and decisionmaking processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Governance:Establish and enforce data governance frameworks policies standards change management and procedures to maintain data integrity and compliance.
Data Quality Management:Ensure the accuracy completeness and reliability of data by implementing data quality standards. Gather and report data quality metrics and define improvement opportunities.
Data Collection and Processing:Develop and manage processes for data collection entry and sharing to prevent data duplication and .
Data Security:Monitor data usage access controls and implement measures to protect data from breaches.
Data Documentation:Maintain data catalogs dictionaries and taxonomies to ensure data is welldocumented and easily accessible.
Collaboration:Work with various departments to understand their data needs and ensure data consistency across the organization. Ensure that data decisions are communicated and data users understand impacts of decisions.
Training and Support:Provide training to staff on data management principles and support them in resolving datarelated issues.
