Data Center / Headend Technicians
TekCom Resources Inc is currently recruiting for several Data Center / Headend Technicians for one of our national customers with needs in the Chicagoland IL area. Travel throughout the Chicago IL area will be required and mileage reimbursed (after 65 miles). This is an excellent opportunity to develop and grow with an established company.

Job Summary:
Install troubleshoot upgrade modify and perform preventive maintenance on customer specific data centers and headend telecommunication sites.
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Data Center Technician Data Center Infrastructure Inside Plant (ISP) cabling headend technician CATV Fiber DC Power Broadband Modem routers router cable modem termination system (CMTS) broadband telecommunication telecom telecommunications network cabling RF wiring HEC Mini RF Cat 5/6 Fiber Jumpers connectors racks OTDR Comcast Cox SCTE#tekcomjobs

Job Summary:
Install troubleshoot upgrade modify and perform preventive maintenance on customer specific data centers and headend telecommunication sites.
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- You will be responsible for headend installation of routers CMTScable modem termination system) and other broadband equipment for telecommunication companies.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical instructions plans blueprints and schematic diagrams.
- Perform RF wiring with RG59 HEC Mini RF Cat 5/6 Fiber Jumpers and associated connectors between active and passive devices.
- Test and label all cables according to the Customers specifications
- Install racks set rails and cable trays.
- Travel will be required between localized area sites.
- 3 years of experience in data centers headend or central office environments
- Must have strong communication and judgement skills
