JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Plant Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State invites applications for a parttime research support position for spring/summer/fall 2023. The hired candidates will work in the Kemanian Agroecosystems Lab.
Typical duties are:
assist in preparing the materials and conducting measurement of nitrous oxide and other greenhouse gas emissions in experiments in organic agriculture
sample soil and plant material and process samples in the lab including drying and grinding samples and determining soil nitrogen mineral content
follow protocols regarding data storage and management
This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US drivers license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
