Certified Pilates Instructor (Independent Contractor)
About Us:
The Spring Island Recreation & Wellness Center is seeking a skilled professional and reliable Certified Pilates Instructor to work with our members who are eager to engage in personalized Pilates instruction within their own community. Our program is dedicated to promoting a holistic approach to health and wellness in a and we are looking for an instructor who shares our passion for movement strength and mindful living.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Pilates Instructor to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate is passionate about Pilates knowledgeable about proper form and technique and committed to delivering exceptional client experiences. You will have flexibility to set your schedule while working with a clientele eager to improve their health and fitness. Competitive compensation structure based on education experience and credentials.
Responsibilities:
- Lead private semiprivate and smallgroup reformer Pilates sessions tailored to clients needs and fitness levels.
- Lead Mat Pilates group fitness classes and other types of Pilatesbased group fitness classes.
- Maintain a welcoming professional and encouraging environment that fosters client progress and satisfaction.
- Be available on a consistent basis a couple of times per week scheduled opposite of our current Pilates instructor to provide expanded availability for members.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Certified in Reformer Pilates; a comprehensive certification is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology with the ability to apply principles to safe and effective instruction.
- Ability to educate motivate and inspire clients of all fitness levels fostering a positive and supportive environment.
- Up to date CPR training.
- Experience leading apparatusbased semiprivate and private classes and matbased group classes with six or more participants.
