The Director of Sales & Business Development will report to the President/Owner who has been General Manager since 2007 and has 35 years of experience in construction. They will serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team (President Director of Operations Director of Finance/Controller Director of Sales & Business Development). The Sales & Business Development oversees all sales business and marketing activities manages the sales team and develops marketing strategies to achieve sales objectives and enhance operational efficiency. This includes the application of the CRM to manage residential and commercial sales supervise sales personnel advance marketing initiatives and coordinate with operations. Additionally it involves key performance indicators such as close rates bid amounts gross margin improvements to the appointment scheduling process and specific duties assigned by the President.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A degree in business landscape architecture or equivalent experience in construction product sales distribution fabrication and installation is required.
A highly knowledgeable analytical and detailoriented individual with strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
Knowledge and experience in commercial and residential fences.
A minimum of 10 years of professional sales experience.
Proficiency in MS Office particularly Excel.
Familiarity with CRM systems preferably BIGIN or Zoho.
Communicate effectively with customers staff and architects
Technical skills to identify and help solve problems.
Must have a friendly and positive optimistic attitude.
Must be a highly motivated selfstarter.
Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and a competitive drive to succeed.
Should be organized and possess strong timemanagement skills.
POSITION DUTIES:
OVERALL Leads a fivemember sales team specializing in fence and gate installation for residential and commercial property owners.
SALESReport to the CEO/Owner set sales objectives and KPIs and oversee the sales process from lead generation to client satisfaction using CRM.
BUSINESS Collaborate with the CEO/Owner to develop initiatives assess growth opportunities and work with our Marketing Agency to validate and set priorities.
MARKETINGCollaborating with the CEO/Owner she or he will oversee the marketing agencys efforts and align the sales team with a cohesive strategy to achieve HFCOs goals.
INPERSON SALES CALLS Builds connections with commercial and residential businesses through facetoface sales calls to enhance their sales teams efforts.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS Gain the skills to effectively present and sell the Companys complete range of fence and gate products.
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE Develop a thorough understanding of regulatory standards certification classifications for municipalities and homeowner associations and permitting.
CUSTOMER BIDS & PROPOSALS: Collaborate with the sales team and the inhouse estimator(s) to ensure that customer requirements are accurate and proposals are comprehensive.
PRESENTATIONS Deliver professional presentations and proposals. Review technical data and bids to support the sales efforts team.
LEADERSHIP Direct initiatives to improve valueadded activities and foster operational and departmental excellence while promoting teamwork across all functions.
