Job Description
Under the supervision of the site manager the labourer will be responsible for sorting different types of metals using manual processes.
- Sort the different metals according to their characteristics;
- Prepare the material to meet the quality criteria ;(e.g. cutting aluminum)
- Working with different types of machinery; (forklift)
- Ensure that the premises remain clean at all times;
- Assist with loading and unloading customer vehicles;
- Assign the correct type of metal to the metals provided by the customer.
- Participate in shipping tasks;
- Assist with torch cutting as needed;
- Provide excellent customer service.
Qualifications :
- ONSITE TRAINING!
- Minimum experience of 12 months as a day laborer;
- Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment;
- Knowledge of metals (an asset);
- Be comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (mask caps helmets gloves etc..
Skills sought:
- Health and Safety Awareness;
- Must be in good physical condition;
- Resourcefulness;
- Be meticulous and like repetitive work;
- Punctuality and attendance;
- Ability to work in a team.
Additional Information :
- Temporary position full time Work schedule:
- Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Work indoors and outdoors;
