Job Description
General Information & Responsibilities
Black Hawk College seeks Adjunct Faculty/Parttime Instructor for the Art/Design Department.
Description of Duties
Faculty memberis expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures discussions and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience; develops and executes appropriate methods of evaluating students performance;develops secures and maintains the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Education & Experience
Masters degree in Art or Fine Art (M.A./M.F.A. with emphasis in fine arts studio
disciplines interdisciplinary studies or animation visual communication or web design
required. Ability to instruct studio courses and art appreciation courses required.
Teaching experience in Art at the secondary or postsecondary level is preferred. Must
possess demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024
Less Than a Masters Degree $693.36 per equated hour
Masters Degree $808.92 per equated hour
Doctorate $866.70 per equated hour
