Job Description
Description of the role:
The Automotive Bookkeeper at Tantillo Auto Group at one of our Smithtown locations is responsible for all financial transactions and recordkeeping related to the companys automotive dealership operations. This role requires attention to detail strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of general accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
*Experience in Automotive Bookeeping Required
- Process and reconcile daily sales transactions including cash credit card and financing transactions
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and submit timely financial reports to management
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Handle all aspects of vehicle registration and titling
- Manage inventory records and conduct periodic audits
- Assist customers with financial inquiries and resolve any billing issues
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an automotive bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of automotive accounting practices and regulations is preferred
Compensation:
$22 $28 per hour
