WESTMAN COMMUNICATIONS GROUP (Westman) is seeking applications from energetic highly motivated individuals to become part of our growing team!

What youll do:
- Gather information using GPS surveying tools; download store and manipulate collected data.
- Conduct field audits of Westmans Coax and Fibre plants.
- Convert paper files to electronic format and upload maps to databases.
- Maintain status of active projects and activities providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Follow all Health and Safety policies and best practices to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Work closely with the Planning & Design team as well as other departments within Westman.
What youll bring to the team:
- Minimum Grade 12 plus minimum 1 year of postsecondary education in Engineering Technology Civil Engineering Telecommunications Program or equivalent
- Experience with GIS survey tools is required; Knowledge of GPS surveying equipment operation AutoCAD and/or ESRI Mapping is considered an asset.
- General understanding of broadband telecom cable networks and internet is considered an asset
- Knowledge of outside plant cable system design and drafting would be considered an asset.
- Proficient with use of Windows & Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Outlook Excel etc. is considered an asset.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
