Production Assistant
18 month fixed term contract
Shift pattern: From 1st April to 30 June 2025 you will be working Tuesday to Thursday 6am 6pm. From 1st July 2025 we will move to a Double Day shift pattern Monday to Friday 6am 2pm or 2pm 10pm (alternated weekly).
Starting salary: 23649 per annum rising to 24199 on successful completion of 3month probation. Moving to 29699 when working Double Day shift. Plus highly competitive overtime payments.
The role
Due to expansion at our operation near Loughton Essex we are looking to recruit Production Assistants to join our growing team. The Production Assistant is a key role supporting three areas of our production.
- The post holder may be deployed to support different areas throughout a working day and week with the following main purposes:
- Unblocking paper/polymer sheets manually for printing presses and reporting any machine malfunctions
- Ensuring all print processes are supplied with necessary consumables; stock is readily available & accurately recorded when leaving and enteringfrom our vaults.
- Primary preparation of notes for cutting and feeding for examination. Taking off and packing notes accurately. Supporting BPS Manual Cell working Sheet exam and Guillotine functions
To be successful in your application we are looking for applications from individuals who can demonstrate;
- Ability to demonstrate clear communication & interpersonal skills
- Basic problemsolving skills
- Minimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English
- Ability to complete paperwork and use computerised systems
- Ability to operate a Powered Truck
- Exposure to a manufacturing environment could be advantageous
