Applications are invited for a programmer position available at the Massachusetts General Hospital Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in the field of Neuroimaging of multiple sclerosis. Reporting to the Principal Investigator the programmer is responsible for developing managing and leading multiple image analysis pipelines and ongoing data repositories.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop manage and lead multiple ongoing data neuroimage analysis pipelines and repositories
Analyze multiple ongoing neuroimaging data including functional structural and diffusion modalities as well as MRPET data.
Work in an interdisciplinary group and be responsible for the coordination data management and analysis for a number of projects related to multiple sclerosis imaging.
Will be responsible for the design implementation and management of database.
SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Twothree years experience in python MATLAB programming is required
Experience with C programming is preferred
Experience with relational database application development is preferred
Experience with managing large scale imaging data is preferred
Experience with neuroimaging data analysis is preferred
Strong motivation to work in a research environment
Proficiency in Matlab Python C web programming
Requires strong organizational and analytical skills excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills. A willingness to learn is a must.
EDUCATION:
BS or MS in computer science physics or engineering required
EXPERIENCE:
Twothree years experience in Linux (UNIX)based environments is required
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This is a full time job that will be performed at the MGH A. A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in Charlestown Navy Yard (CNY). We collaborate with an interdisciplinary group of clinicians psychologists and neuroscientists at CNY and main Campus to accomplish our research objectives.
