The firm is known for its commitment to excellence and client satisfaction and they are looking for a Senior Associate with a strong background in commercial litigation to join their growing practice.

What Are We Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Associate with over 8 years PQE in commercial litigation. The successful candidate will have a solid track record of managing complex litigation cases excellent client communication skills and a proactive approach to business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Case Management: Assist in managing commercial litigation cases including drafting pleadings statements of case and other court documents with minimal supervision.
• Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and provide detailed analysis on various legal issues relevant to commercial disputes.
• PreTrial Preparation: Participate in pretrial preparations including drafting witness statements preparing bundles and liaising with counsel.
• Client Representation: Represent clients in court arbitration mediation and other dispute resolution processes demonstrating strong advocacy skills.
• Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients providing regular updates and strategic legal advice throughout the litigation process.
• Relationship Development: Develop and maintain strong client relationships contributing to client retention and supporting business development efforts.
• Market Awareness: Stay abreast of legal developments and regulatory changes relevant to commercial litigation in the UK ensuring informed advice to clients.
• Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and grow the firms litigation practice.
• Networking: Attend industry events conferences and networking functions to build the firms profile and establish key relationships.
• Collaborative Marketing: Work with the marketing team to create and execute effective business development initiatives that align with the firms objectives.
• Strategic Advice: Provide strategic and commercially focused legal advice to clients understanding the financial and operational aspects of their businesses.
• Risk Mitigation: Anticipate and mitigate potential legal risks for clients ensuring proactive management of disputes.
• Mentoring: Mentor and support junior team members fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive legal solutions that meet clients needs.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
• 8 years PQE in commercial litigation.

Experience

• Proven experience managing complex commercial litigation cases demonstrating a strong advocacy record.
• Solid understanding of commercial law dispute resolution mechanisms and regulatory requirements in the UK.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting thorough legal research.
• Proven business development skills and a track record of successfully growing a practice.
