Job Description

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to care center patients under supervision of Physicians and patient Clinical Services Manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides general nursing care to patients.
  • Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
  • Ensures cleanliness.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment examination and testing of patients.
  • Observes records and reports patients condition and reaction to and treatments to physicians.
  • Educates patient & family about diagnostic procedures medications nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.
  • Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriation information. Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests.
  • Maintains/reviews patient records charts and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
  • Responds to/refers incoming patient treatmentrelated phone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.
  • Perform other duties/tasks as requested by providers coordinators and management in accordance with office procedures/policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling patients medical records and information.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Firm grasp on medical practices administrative processes and organizational policies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in administrative tasks
  • Must be highly organized and detailoriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and digital record systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively and verbalize ideas
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion be adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrates the highest level of customer/client service and response
  • Demonstrates ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment

Education and Experience:

  • Must have an active LPN license
  • Completion of an approved LPN program required
  • Minimum of oneyear professional nursing experience clinic experience preferred.
  • Must maintain CPR certification
