The Silver Lake Regional School District and Superintendency Union #31 districts are seeking multiple certified SpeechLanguage Pathologists (SLP) to work in the Extended School Year (ESY) program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onetoone and small group speech/language therapy to students with identified communication disorders in the areas of receptive language expressive language pragmatic language articulation fluency voice and/or medically diagnosed hearing impairment.
- Assess and maintain data on performance of all students on caseload and differentiate student goals and instruction accordingly.
- Select appropriate therapy programs and methodologies plan and implement therapy that matches students IEP goals and objectives.
- Complete data informed summary reports for all students.
- Consult with parents/guardians classroom teachers other therapists special educators school nurses and teaching assistants regarding students speech/language development and the impact of their speech/language needs on their academic and social performance as needed.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Coordinate and develop a service schedule with the classroom ESY teachers for students working within the ESY day program.
- Coordinate and develop a service schedule with parents/guardians for students requiring only drop off services.

- ESY programs serve students aged 322
- Days & times of services:
- Grades K12: Monday Thursday 8:30 am 12:00 pm
- PreK: Students will have a twoday schedule of either Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday from 8:30 12:00 p.m.
- In addition to times outlined above educators will be paid for an additional 90 minutes of planning time each day which may occur onsite or offsite
- Data collection / progress monitoring collected weekly in regards to individualized education plans (IEPs)
