A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Dr. Anthony. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills a publication record consistent with career level and an interest in understanding regulation of metabolism and proteostasis by nutrients. Proficiency in oral and written English are required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and follow NIH and Rutgers guidelines. The position is based in the Anthony lab a vibrant interdisciplinary and energetic research group housed on the Cook campus in New Brunswick NJ. As a postdoctoral associate the candidate would have abundant opportunities to interact with members of the Institute for Food Nutrition and Health Departments of Nutritional Sciences and Food Sciences and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The campus is also in close proximity to the cultural and scientific offerings of both NYC and Philadelphia.
Overview
1 Conduct research experiments studying the regulation of protein synthesis and proteostasis by diet genes and environmental stressors. 2 Develop and establish research protocols and proposals necessary to answer research hypotheses. 3 Prepare research reports and manuscripts for peerreview and publication in scientific journals; assist with preparation of grant applications 4 Mentor students at the laboratory bench and in laboratory related activities. 5 Behave in a way that keeps the workplace and laboratory organized clean and safe in accordance with established procedures and maintains laboratory equipment and instruments in operational condition.
