Summary The Structural Engineer II will analyze existing and design new various structures (including Telecommunication Towers and Water Tanks). - Engineer in Training (E.I.T. is Preferred
- 2 years of Structural Engineering experience specific to Telecommunication
- Building design experience with steel concrete wood and masonry preferred
- Proficiency with structural analysis software preferred

| Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities but depending on level of certification may require being in responsible charge of projects and reviewing other engineers work. | Essential Functions - Review building structures for compliance with current standards and building codes
- Work with existing processes to correctly open analysis projects
- Design modifications to existing structures
- Work with Designer staff on the development of modification drawings
- Generate required engineering reports
- Review Quality Assurance (QA) and final review on structural analysis reports and designs
- Answer structurerelated inquiries from internal and external customers
- Keep abreast of new technical methods and development related to structural engineering
- Provide assistance on unusual problems
| Physical Demands This is a largely sedentary role; however some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. While performing the external job duties the employee is regularly required to be at site locations both on the ground and on building roof tops sit stand walk use both hands and reach and raise items above the head use fingers to feel and handle talk and hear.While performing the duties of this job the employee frequently is required to stoop kneel and crouch lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 35 pounds. | Work Environment Most work in performed in climatecontrolled internal office environment worked under normal office conditions. Less than 5 of work is performed externally onsite outdoors with exposure to the elements of nature. |
