Fulltime Safety Location Olathe KS 66022
Utilize your knowledge of safety practices to support business growth. Collaborate with the EHS Manager to ensure the effective of safety initiatives manage administrative and compliance tasks and manage resources to meet project deadlines.
Youll deliver short and longterm projects that support the business strategy. This will involve:
Implements manages and monitors compliance programs policies and procedures to meet EHS regulatory requirements.
Ability to respond to safetyrelated incidents or emergencies.
Maintaining incident reporting investigation and corrective action programs.
Responsible for maintaining accurate records for OSHA compliance and workers compensation claims
Perform job hazard analysis workplace inspections and internal audits as directed to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Conducts safety training for employees maintains records and related training improvements.
Supports trainthetrainer activities and programs for site safety ownership
Act as an advocate for safety promoting a culture of safety awareness and best practices among employees and leaders.
Attend startup meetings safety committees and Gemba walks for employees across multiple shifts to support safety initiatives and visibility. Rotate attendance on different shifts for visibility.
Ability to plan and schedule work to meet deadlines established by EHS Manager.
Develop effective and timely communication with EHS Manager and leadership on safetyrelated matters.
Provides data from compliance evaluations or incident programs to support EHS performance metrics.
Handling administrative tasks including recordkeeping and documentation
Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by management.
Were looking for someone who can come up with simple solutions to complex problems. To join us you need:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role preferably in a warehouse manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of OSHA 30 EPA and other regulatory requirements.
Experience conducting safety audits risk assessments and incident investigations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and drive safety culture.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Certification in ASP GSP or CSP is preferred
