Job Description
Overview
Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Senior Wireless Network/Communications Engineer to lead the implementation and configuration of advanced wireless networking infrastructure in support of the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCENN) Wireless Lifecycle Refresh and Expansion. This role will be integral to delivering endtoend wireless solutions across six USMC installations as part of a highimpact modernization effort under the PEO Digital ISTC Program Office.
The Senior Engineer will serve as a technical leader responsible for site surveys engineering design and the EFIST (Engineer Furnish Install Secure and Test) of wireless access points wireless controllers and supporting components. This includes both the replacement of endoflife hardware and the expansion of WLAN capabilities in accordance with Zero Trust and ComplytoConnect principles. The candidate will work closely with other technical engineers Lead Systems Engineers and government stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery adherence to project timelines and compliance with stringent security requirements. Responsibilities

- Supportverificationsite surveys atgovernmentinstallations on the East coast of the United States in order to identify and document the current network infrastructure installedto ensure the technical solution meets the customerrequirement
- Support theLead Systems Engineerinimplementing the technical solutions for new and existingclients
- Provide feedback to the Lead Systems Engineer on improvements to thetechnical solutionsbeingimplemented
- Maintain accurate network diagrams inventory and documentation for network infrastructureinstallations
- Configuration of network routing and switchingequipment
- Understanding of wireless networking technologies topologies and protocols. (TCP/IP Routing Switching VLANs Ethernet)knowledge of GPON is aplus
- Handson experience in implementing operating and troubleshooting IPbased Data networks (LAN/WAN/MAN)using CiscoIOS
- Highly selfmotivated and ability to work independently in a global teamenvironment
- Exceptional analytical skills able to apply knowledge and experience in decisionmaking to arrive at creative and commercialsolutions
- Strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to a broadteam
- Independent and comfortable in a fast paced ambiguous and often multidirectional work environments
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor degree in a Technology related field.
- 10years experiencein telecommunications and networking experience.
- 10years experiencedelivering solutions to government clients.
- Cisco CCNA CCNP Enterprise Wireless Certification is desired.
- Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNAC) experience is desired.
Military Installation Access: This position resides on a military installation. Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass. Must be able to obtain a favorable National Security Agency Check (NACI) including a FBI fingerprint check.
Clearance: This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Physical Requirements:The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the jobwith or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands wrists and fingers.
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
