Job Description
Charlies Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram one of the areas largest automotive dealers has an immediate opening for a Service Technician. We are paying $60 per flat rate hour including ALL WARRANTY REPAIRS!!! The Service Technician performs work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
- Testdrive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing maintaining and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a nontechnical manner to service advisors and customers
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
REQUIREMENTS:
- ASE Certification a plus
- Experience with all makes and models a plus
- Strong automotive background
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
- Must have clean & valid drivers license
