Job Description
The Director of Content is a member of the Crescent City Schools Network Schools Team that supports high quality curriculum implementation in all CCS buildings. The Director of Content reports to the Chief Academic Officer. Currently we are looking for an expert in Math and/or Science.
The Network Director of Content impacts students lives by:
- Developing and delivering contentbased networkwide professional development to school staff during summer professional development
- Developing and delivering weekly contentbased schoolbased professional development
- Developing and delivering contentbased networkwide professional development to school staff during the school year as needed (i.e. weekly school PD afternoons Data Days etc.
- Observing contentspecific teachers on each campus and giving feedback on curriculum implementation
- Collaborating with schoolbased DCIs to support the implementation of highquality curriculum on each campus
- Ensuring that curriculum implementation is aligned to interim assessments
- Working collaboratively to ensure interim assessments are highquality and support the implementation of the schoolwide interim cycles three times a year
- Conducting asneeded support in schools that may include coaching individual teachers realtime teacher coaching and/or doing shortterm projects as identified by individual principals and approved by the Chief of Academics
- Meeting weekly with the Chief Academic Officer to review PD plans and receive and implement feedback on work
- Meeting regularly with the entire Schools Team to evaluate progress toward goals
- Participating in the life of the CMO including weekly CMO team Zoom meetings monthly CMO inperson meetings and networkwide events

- Have a BA or BS degree Masters degree preferred
- Possess Louisiana Teacher Certification (or equivalent in another state) Mentor Teacher certification preferred
- Have demonstrated success in coaching teachers designing curriculum and leading student achievement
- Experience with Wit and Wisdom is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to sit stand walk talk hear operate a computer and other office equipment reach with hands and arms and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- This is an inperson role
