Maintenance Technician
CrossbeamInvestments LLP alocal property management company is searching for a Maintenance Technician for Washington Park a 435unit apartment complex located in the Kent area. TheMaintenance Technician is responsible for completing building maintenance andperform unit makeready duties on multifamily residential buildings. The ideal candidate will possess basicmaintenance skills as well as the ability to communicate with residents andvendor. The schedule is Monday Friday 7:00 4:00 PM.
- Responsible forcompletion of general maintenance tasks including service requeststurnoverfunctions and curb appeal.
- Unit Work Orders such as cloggedgarbage disposals toilets sinks and tubs; leaky faucets shower heads andanything the resident breaks.
- Light appliance repairknobs burners heat elements broken handles etc.
- Daily walk of the groundsvacuum and pickup garbage as needed to keep areas well maintained.
- Diagnose and perform minor and routine maintenance/repair in a timely and professional manner. Assure all service requests are completed daily.
- Followup on completed and incomplete service requests to ensure satisfaction.
Oncall for emergencycalls such as fire floods emergency repairs etc. - Other duties as needed.
Requirements
What theSuccessful Maintenance Technician will have:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician. Prior maintenance experience in propertymanagement strongly preferred.
- Proficient with general repairs/maintenance work basic appliance repairplumbing and electrical.
- Heavy appliance and pool experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectivelywith residents and vendors.
- Able to work well independently and also collaborate effectively with manager.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
- Hiring is contingent on passing a background check and drug test.
