We have an excellent opportunity for an experiencedHeavy Haul Lowboy Driver with Class A CDL in Coloradoto join our team of professionals.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in heavy equipment hauling be organized motivated detailoriented and driven. Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- All employees are required to ensure all work performed is done safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate logs records and daily company paperwork.
- Meet scheduled timeline with equipment deliveries and moves.
- Ensure daily truck and trailer maintenance inspections.
- Manage and maintain accurate records for required permits.
- Ability to work flexible hours some weekends and nights
- Applicants must have a valid and current drivers license clean MVR and adequate means of transportation
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL in Colorado required.
- Prefer 3 years of verifiable lowboy driving experience hauling heavy construction equipment loading securing unloading and transporting equipment / materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain valid Class A CDL in Colorado drivers license and good motor vehicle record to maintain insurability guidelines is a must
- Must be able to pass a preemployment DOT drug screen and background check
- Ability to pass and maintain DOT safety sensitive FMCSA requirements about pre/postemployment drug screening and DOT physical
- Complete pretrip and post trip inspectionswith appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines
- Must comply with all regulatory agency and company safety directives
- Keep and maintain accurate log of deliveries and complete required paperwork.
- Knowledge of equipment operation being transported
- Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Follow dispatch instructions.
- Perform tasks in a safely and efficient manner. Comply all applicable laws.
- Experience in planning the best route for delivery keeping in mind height weight and width restrictions
- Works with site superintendents and equipment department manager to coordinate heavy equipment relocations from job site to job site dealer or rental equipment yards.
- Report all accidents involving driver company equipment and/or private property.
- Requires excellent reliability and attendance habits.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with vendors employees and general public.
- Hazmat certification a plus
Physical demands:
Ability to secure heavy loads and repeatedly kneel crawl push pull and climb to and from cabin or lowboy trailer as required to secure the load.
Ability to lift to 50 pounds intermittently throughout the course of work shift.
Able to use a broom or shovel to clean the trailer of residual material.
